Attend Socially Distanced Celebrations
In light of COVID-19, please see the CDC’s recommendations for gatherings as you decide how to celebrate Oktoberfest.
The celebrations at King Street’s Village Brauhaus begin on Oktoberfest Eve, September 18, 2020, with live German music by Johnny Koenig and his band. On Oktoberfest’s September 19 official start, Paulaner brewery, operating in Munich since 1634, will be live-streaming keg-tappings worldwide. As one of the few U.S. spots included, Village Brauhaus will host live music from the Aaron Dussing Band starting at 2 p.m. and debut an Oktoberfest menu including giant Bavarian pretzels, smoked two-pound turkey legs, schnitzels wursts and more. Five German Oktoberfest “bier” styles are available on draft and can be purchased in full and half-liter steins, along with the option to purchase and fill 64-ounce growlers or bring your own to fill. Live music will continue on September 25 and 26.
Masks are required whenever patrons are not seated at their tables, which are spaced six feet apart. Some outdoor seating is available. Parties are asked to limit their stay to under two hours. Stay tuned on more happenings here.
